What Is Her Training, Experience and Background?

Christine Blake is an attachment-based psychoanalytic psychotherapist registered with the U.K.C.P. She completed her training at The Bowlby Centre, where she subsequently taught gender studies and professional ethics, as well as managing the Clinical Referrals Service. Christine is an approved Bowlby Centre supervisor and training therapist.

Christine has expertise in the areas of trauma, abuse, disrupted attachments and loss grounded in anti-discriminatory practice. Her past experiences include setting up a counselling helpline and working with survivors of sexual, emotional and physical violence. She currently works in private practice and continues to write, speak and train about her work.

With twenty years’ background experience of the voluntary and statutory sectors, specialising in community mental health, Christine is experienced in working in group settings and holds a certificate in Counselling Skills and Group work from City University.

Christine’s knowledge of the voluntary and statutory sectors and extensive management experience, in addition to her attachment-based therapeutic training, makes her ideally placed to provide external training and support services. Working in collaboration with other attachment-based therapeutically trained practitioners, with diverse statutory and voluntary sector management experience, Christine is passionate about helping professionals, teams and organisations to access attachment-based practice in an easy to use application.
